Wrangler’s configured to “just work” right out of the box, but you can get more out of him with a few commands. Follow these three simple steps to start Wrangler and your users off on the right foot.

Configure Moderators and Operators

Moderators and Operators can manage any Herd with /herd, and Operators have access to /wrangler for changing application settings. Give trusted parties these privileges with /wrangler mod and /wrangler op. Administrators always have full access.

Pro Tip: Use Command Permissions to hide commands from people who don’t need to use them.

Configure Features

Certain features like Herd voice channel creation and /wrangle role pinging are configurable on both a server‐wide and per‐channel basis. Check out your current configuration with /wrangler config list, then use /wrangler to update your settings.

Say Hi (Not Yet)

Once you’ve got things looking the way you want, use /wrangler welcome to post a one‐time welcome message to the server that shows your members how to interact with Wrangler. Don’t worry, this won’t sign you up for channel spam; if you want to keep on top of updates you can check out the Wrangler (Test) Discord.
